2016.02 - Project Kick-off Meeting

The project kick-off meeting took place in Beijing from 24 to 26 February 2016.

The Kick-off meeting marks the official start of the CML research; following welcome speeches by Jianwei Zhang (CML coordinator) and Fuchun Sun (CML local coordinator Beijing), inauguration speeches were given by Yuwen Qin and Yinje Fan from NSFC, as well Vice Presidents from Tsinghua University, Peking University, and CAS. A set of invited summary talks was follwed by technical presentations about the three integration subprojects (Z1, Z2, Z3).

The second day was reserved for lab visits to all four Chinese partner institutes, where the key laboratories and equipment were presented to the attending researchers and students. 

On the third day, all research projects (A1-C6) presented their current research plan and the first steps taken for joint collaborative work with the partners, followed by fruitful discussions with students and partners.
