PhD Defense: Robust Bidirectional Processing for Speech-controlled Robotic Scenarios
20 May 2020
Johannes Twiefel successfully defended his PhD thesis titled "Robust Bidirectional Processing for Speech-controlled Robotic Scenarios" on 20th May.
The thesis describes a novel architecture for robust speech processing used by real and simulated robots. The robustness is improved by integrating world knowledge and repair mechanisms. The thesis also contains a novel natural language representation that was shown to be useful for these kinds of scenarios.
