PhD Defense: Wearable Haptic Technology for 3D Selection and Guidance
19 March 2021
Abstract: This thesis aims to improve usability in 3D selection tasks by using wearable haptic technology. We explore (i) the use of proximity-based cues and embodiment illusions, (ii) combinations of pseudo-haptics with tactile/proprioceptive feedback, and (iii) assistive vibrotactile cues for 3D guidance.
